Frequently Asked Questions
What amenities do you offer?
We provide an extensive list of amenities that one would expect from a well-stocked “home away from home” vacation rental.
It would be easier to list items that we don’t have vs the items that we do provide. 🙂 For example, we provide more than enough cookware to prepare a holiday family meal, shampoo/conditioner, body wash, two hair dryers, washer/dryer with some detergent, cleaning products, robes, sound machines, alarm clocks, pack and play, high chair, a coffee bar, Xbox console, pool table, etc.
Do you allow pets?
Up to 2 non-aggressive and well-trained dogs are permitted with pre-approval from homeowner during time of reservation, and a pet fee of $100 per dog. Please read the rental agreement for more detailed information.
Service Animals with documentation are welcome in our home. All rules pertaining to pets also apply to service animals, minus the pet fee.
Do you have space for remote work?
Yes. Not only do we have a beautiful desk, comfortable office chair, and a great background for your Zoom meetings, we also offer complimentary high speed internet.
What rules do you have for the home?
1. Smoking of any kind (vaping included) is not permitted within or anywhere around the Property.
2. Only dogs that have been approved by homeowners are permitted on or in the Property. Pet owner is responsible for cleaning up after their pet.
3. Rental Agreement must be read, signed, and returned to homeowners prior to arrival.
4. No parties, events or gathering are allowed. Some exceptions may be made with the owner’s pre-approved consent.
5. The number of guests should never exceed ten (10) at any given time, and only registered guests may stay overnight. Please contact us if there are situations you would like for us to consider.
6. Garbage must be placed in the proper receptacles.
7. Quiet hours are from 10:00 PM to 8:00 AM
Is the deposit refundable
Yes. The $1000 security deposit we charge will be refunded after inspection of the property, less any deductions for damage to the Property or furnishings, excessive mess requiring additional cleaning, pet damage/cleaning, or other costs incurred outside the normal course due to Guest’s stay. Normal stays don’t usually incur any fees and result in all deposits being refunded.
What are your checkout requirements?
We require very little of our guests when they check out.
The most important things are just taking the garbage out to the outside bins (to keep our house pest-free) and returning any furnishings that were moved back to its original locations.
If time permits, our housekeeping team greatly appreciates when guests are able to start the dishwasher before their departure.
For those with dogs, there’s an additional ask to walk around the property to make sure all wastes have been picked up and disposed of.
Everything else are simply standard reminders like locking all doors and windows, making sure gas BBQ grill is turned off, and returning garage door opener where you found it.
What is your cancellation policy?
If Guest cancels the reservation more than 30 days before Arrival Date, Guest will receive a full refund. If Guest cancels the reservation between 7 to 29 days before the Arrival Date, they will receive a 50% refund. If Guest cancels the reservation up to 7 days before Arrival Date, the Total Amount Due will be forfeited and no refund will be issued.
What is there to do around that area?
This vacation home is in a fantastic location very close to freeways, so getting to other places like Scottsdale, Phoenix, ASU, GCU, Spring Training, or the airport is super easy and will only take around 20-25 minutes.
It’s within 5 minutes of Downtown Gilbert (also called the Heritage District), an area that resembles a newer version of Oldtown Scottsdale. There are many restaurants, bars, shops, farmer’s market, and entertainment to choose from whether you go there during the day or at night.
The house is also close to many different golf courses, a couple of spring training facilities, Top Golf, casinos, shopping for all budgets, parks, hiking, nature preserves, walking and bike trails, coffee shops, lakes, water parks, etc. There are so many things to do that it can get pretty challenging to do them all in one visit.
It’s within walking distance to Freestone Park, a large 80-acre park with fishing ponds, sports fields, picnic areas, train rides, sports courts and many more.
